Similar to the rest of the state, North Augusta is known for its humid subtropical climate zone. The year starts off with a short, mild winter, and although average high temps in January will reach the upper 50s, lows tend to fall to the freezing point or lower, making it a necessity to invest in a furnace or heat pump. This season leads to a warm and wet spring.

Summers in North Augusta tend to be hot and quite humid. July is the hottest month of the year, and average high temperatures this month reach about 93 degrees. However, highs that exceed 100 degrees will occur several times throughout the season. Without a central air conditioning unit in place to help residents beat the heat, dangerous conditions including heat-related illnesses could become a real possibility.
